With the aim of further integrating the Port of Maceió into the city, becoming an urban and tourist facility, the Administration of the Port of Maceió (APMC) will cede the area surrounding the Port to the municipality of Maceió so that requalification can be carried out. The non-onerous assignment of use, as well as the Service Order for the works, will be signed this Friday (15), at 9 am, during a ceremony at the Port of Maceió, in the Jaraguá neighborhood. The APMC Administrator, Diogo Holanda, the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira, and the mayor of Maceió, JHC, will be present. The project, which has a total built area of ??24.70133m², includes the installation of a sidewalk, cycle path, gym equipment, landscaping deck, wooden playground furniture, jogging track and medium and large vegetation.

According to the Administrator of the Port of Maceió, the requalification of the area will guarantee the appreciation of the area surrounding the Port, in addition to promoting a better relationship between the Port and the city, which is one of the port authority's priorities.< br/>
